Now THIS is Scotland

After St. Andrews we made our way to Pitlochry. It was a pretty little town that reminded me of Red River. (Mom, you would have loved it.). Didn't really get any pics of it though because we had to eat and only had 1 hour.

From Pitlochry we went to Blair Castle.

The best parts of the castle were the weapons and antler collections. You were only supposed to take pics in the ballroom, but rules are for sissies.

Boom. That circle on the wall? That's a circle of rifles. And all the walls in the entry were covered.

This was the ballroom:

Up a little path from the castle was the ruin of an old kirk and a graveyard. It was beautiful. But then again I like morbid creepy things.

Oh, and they had peacocks too.

As with most of our other stops, it was too short and we had to hop on the bus to go on to Laggan.
