The theme for today was "Beautiful Scottish Countryside." First, we drove out of the city and went to St. Andrews. For the non-golfers out there, that's the oldest golf course in the whole world. They say that golf was invented in Scotland by bored shepherds trying to hit rocks into holes to entertain themselves. (some kind of animal hole, maybe it was mice?)
There is The Rutherford and I in front of the St. Andrews logo thingy.

I got done staring at golfers pretty quickly, and the beach was nearby, so I went to see the North Sea. Here is a nice shot of the town. It was extremely picturesque.

And since it was about 50 degrees outside, I said to myself, "Self, wouldn't it be just the perfect temperature to put our feet in the North Sea?"

The North Sea is cold. FYI.
Here's Brian:

As I was getting out of the water, we saw a lady riding a horse along the beach. She also had a horse running along with the one she was riding, not leading it in any way, it was just following along. The horses were very happy. They stopped just up from us and had a nice roll in the sand.

I got a great artsy fartsy shot too. Seagull helped it out.

The day continues in the next post.
